(Inner Mongolia) Chenqi Coalfield

1. General situation
Cheng qi coalfield is located west slope of Great Xingan Mountains, north bank of Hai la er river, and it is 25km far away from center of coalfield to Hai la er city, which is administrated by Chen ba er hu banner of Hu lun bei er Meng league in Inner Mongolia. Length of coalfield from east to south is approximate 46 km, average width is 15 km, and area is 690 sq-km, area containing coal resource is 496.8 sq-km. Railway network, Ha er bing-Man zhou li is passing Hai la er city within the south of coalfield. There is a road between Yuan bao ri xi le coalmine and hai la er city in the southeast of coalfield. Communication is convenient in this coalfield.

There is wavy plain in this area, and its topography is down from northeast to southwest, elevation is 789.6~593.0 meters. Hai la er river is from east to west passing through south edge of coalfield, then towards into Erguna River. Mo le ge er river is passing through northwest of coalfield towards into Ku ku lake in the west end of coalfield, its lake is also connecting with Hai la er river. Cheng qi coalfield is divided into 2 area, east area and west area by three drill holes connected in line.(79-15,80-8,80-18), west area is named Ba yan ha da pu cha minefield, east area is named Bao ri xi le minefield.

2. Coal resources

Gross resources of coal in this minefield are 8.7 billion tons, the recoverable reserves thereof is 8.5 billion tons. The reliable prognositc reserves thereof is 200 million tons, shares of under constructing Bao ri xi le minefield has occupied 520 million tons of exploitation reserves.

Stratum of containing coal is upper Jurassic system, Za lai nuo er qun, 14 coal bearing strata are available for exploitation or local exploitation. 6-coal seams thereof are mainly exploited. Coal type is belonged to brown coal and lower sulfur. Caloric value is generally between 27~28MJ/kg or so.

3. Operating coal mine/ exploiting coal field

No. 1, 2 and 3 stripmines of Bao ri xi le minefield is under constructing stage; local owned Hu lun bei er Meng league coal company and 2 county owned minefield are under constructing for exploitation in there, total output of coal is approximate 0ne million tons.
