(Inner Mongolia) Pingzhuang, Yuanbaoshan Coalfield

1. General situation

This area is located in southeast of Chi feng city of Inner Mongolia, and is administrated by chi feng city. It is included into two sections, i.e. ping zhuang and yuan bao shan. Shao guo ying zhi between both sides insulates it caused of promontory; its trend is generally from northeast to southwest in belt-shape. Ping zhuang area is long 35km and wide 17.5 km, its area is approximate 612 sq-km. Yuan bao shan area is long 75km and wide 20 km, its area is approximate 1500 sq-km. Ye chi railway and sha tong railway network is passing through middle section and north section, roadway network trend all directions, its communication is convenient. Its topography is plain, mostly are low mountains, hills and alluvial plain. Elevation is 500~600 meters. Lao ha river is passing from southeast to northwest through east of Ping zhuang then to yuan bao shan towards northeast, finally flowing into Xi la mu lun river. Xi lu ga river is passing rom west to east through middile secetion of Yuan bao mountain then into Lao ha river.

2. Coal resources

The recoverable reserves thereof are 1.6 billion tons. Shares thereof occupied by Ping zhuang mining bureau is up to 1.51 billion tons, Local owned minefield has occupied 50 million tons. There are still 310 million tons coal resources available for exploitation by Ping zhuang mining bureau, and there are still 7.82 million tons coal resources available for exploitaion by county owned coalmines.

Coal bearing strata are existing in upper Jurassic, Yuan bao shan group, 7 coal seams are available for exploitation (No. 1~7), Coal seams including No 4,5 and 6 are generally in full growth; Xing yuan group below Yuan bao shan group contains 6 coal bearing strata (No.8~13), generally available for partial exploitation or unavailable. Coal type & brand name is basically belonged to brown coal; various coal seams in area of Yuan bao shan are all belonged to medium ash, low sulfur coal, average value of analytical index in various coal seams are as follows: Ad18.26%, Vda42.97, St, d1.32%, Qgr.daf21.15MJ/kg. Various coal seams in area of Ping zhuang also are all belonged to medium ash, low sulfur coal, average value of analytical index are as follows: Ad18.3%, Vda46.12%, St, d1.32%, Qgr.daf19.50MJ/kg.

3. Operating coal mine/exploiting coalfield

It is mainly developed by Ping zhuang mining bureau and there are 4 county-owned coalmines in there, and there are other coalmines in total 100 more or less. Total output of these coalfields is up to 10 million tons per year; 7 million tons of coals output thereof are produced by Ping zhuang mining bureau.
