1.General situation
Zha lai nuo er coalfield is located in west of Hu lun bei er Meng league of Inner Mongolia, and is administrated by Man zhou li city. Coalfield is 45 km long and is 23 km wide, area is 1035 sq-km. Bing zhou railway network is passing through coalfield and connecting with access railway of minefield. Roadway networks extend in all directions, its communication is very convenient.
Its topography is that middle section is plain; two sides of east and west sections are hills and lower mountains, elevation is 570~870 meters. Hai la er river is passing from southeast to northwest through northeast of coalfield, then flows into Er gu na river. Mu de na ya river is passing from north to south through west of this area then into HU lun lake, water level will rise in time of flood, maximum flow is up to 724 cu-m/s, it is minatory to safety operation and communication, hence one manmade ditch is specially excavated by them in view of treating flood.
2. Coal resources
Gross resources of coal in this minefield are 10.7 billion tons, the recoverable reserves thereof is 8.3 billion tons. The reliable prognositc reserves thereof are 2.4 billion tons. Under developed coal reserves is up to 3.69 billion tons, shares thereof operated by Zha lai nuo er mining bureau is up to 3.68 billion tons, Local government owned minefield has occupied 10 million tons. There are still 840 million tons coal resources variable for exploitation by Zha lai nuo er mining bureau, only 8.13 million tons coal resources variable for local government owned mine fields.
Stratum of containing coal mainly is upper Jurassic system, Zha lainuo er group, 14 coal-bearing strata are available for exploitation or local exploitation, and they are consisting of 4 coal bearing strata group. Larger thickness of coal bearing strata are located Ⅱ2Ⅱ3Ⅱ1 among available coal exploitation . Coal type & brand name is basically belonged to brown coal, low-medium ash content and medium sulfur. Calorific value is between 20MJ/kg more or less.
3. Operating coal mine/exploiting coalfield
It is mainly developed by Zha lai nuo er mining bureau, one of state-owned & key minefield in there, and they have 5 operating shafts. In addition, there is one county owned minefield and other several minefields. Output of this mining bureau recently is up to about 4 million tons/year.
