Authorized as products of designations of origin and geographical indications, Qingyuan mushrooms are the first mushroom brand in China to secure access to the world market.
Qingyuan County is the cradle of artificially cultivated mushrooms and the largest production base in China. In Qingyuan, about two-thirds of the farmers engaged in mushroom production,and the output of mushrooms here accounts for one tenth of that of the whole country. 60% of the county's mushrooms are exported to Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.
