Huizhou Sweet Corn Planting Area--Guangdong

Huizhou City, located in the southeast Guangdong Province, is famous of its sweet corn. In 2007, Guangdong planted 2.25 million mu of sweet corn,  Huizhou possessed 468,000 mu, occupied more than one-fifth of the whole province's corn planting area, at the same time, the capacity of  sweet corn processing in Huizhou is now taking the forefront in the province.

Four main sweet corn processing enterprises in Huizhou have a bud processing capacity of more than 700 tons day, process corn into delicious juice, corn, sweet corn kernels, fresh bud quick-frozen products, and canned sweet corn, etc. The sweet corn products are sold throughout the country, and exported to the Middle East and Southeast Asia, furthermore, are very hot in Russia, and other EU market.
