Banzi Banana Planting Area--Fujian

Banzi town, located at the South Fujian Golden Triangle area, is belong to Pinghe county,and has a laudatory name as a  "beautiful tripod situation" since ancient times. The natural conditions in Banzi are unique, trees are evergreen, flowers and fruits are provided to market every month, especially the vast expanse of vertical and horizontal ten-mile's "banana sea", can bring people deeply into the green world. Banzi bananas is well-kown by the world by its large fruit, fragrant meat, rich nutrient, and is well received by the consumers both at home and abroad.

In 1995, Banzi banana gained the right to use the sign of "green food" confirmed by China Green Food Development Center, became the first "green food production base" of banana industry in China. In 1996, Banzi was named as the "famous base in southern subtropical crops"  by the Ministry of Agriculture , and was awarded the title of  "the hometown of China's banana" by the State Council Development Research Center. At present, Banzi banana expanded the cultivation area to the neighboring towns, and has built a banana planting base of 80.000 mu, the annual output is 170,000 tons; and built a 40,000 square meters' professional Banana market, the annual turnover can reach RMB 500 million yuan, is one of the largest banana distribution centers in China.
