The Wuhu nuclear plant on the Yangtze River in the Bamaoshan area of Anhui province is planned to have four 1000 MWe CPR-1000 units to be constructed in phases. CGNPC's proposal for two units of phase 1 has been submitted, some preparatory work is under way and the Anhui Wuhu Nuclear Power Co has been set up, with 51% CGNPC ownership. The first unit is due on line in 2015.
