Shife Si Town in Zhenping County, Nangyang

Shife Si Town in Zhenping is the largest-scale jade carving, jade processing and jade distributing centre in China, renowned for its rich jade materials and its diverse jade varieties. The Shife Si jade carving market scale is huge, with 13 villages specializing in jade carving, and 6 specialized markets, involving nearly 30,000 personnel and more than 6,000 jade carving enterprises or private plants. Annual production and marketing volume of various jade carving products exceed 13 million sets. The Chinese Jade Cultural Centre within the township is the first specialized jade cultural museum in the whole country.
