Chinese sportswear giant Anta reports strong 2019 growth

Anta Sports, a leading sportswear maker in China, logged robust performance in 2019 with its operating revenue and profit notching a record high.

The Fujian-based company raked in a total of 33.93 billion yuan (about 4.8 billion U.S. dollars) in revenue last year, surging by 40.8 percent year on year, according to its annual financial results filed with Hong Kong stock exchange.

Net profit attributable to shareholders increased by 30.3 percent from the previous year to 5.34 billion yuan.

The company has sustained the double-digit growth in both operating revenue and net profit for six years in a row, Ding Shizhong, chairman and CEO of Anta, said in the report.
