Huawei expands to make computers

HUAWEI Technologies launched its first laptop product during the ongoing CES Asia，expanding its portfolio to challenge rivals like Apple and Microsoft in the high-end computer battlefield.

Although a later comer, Huawei had “strong confidence” based on its success in the smartphone market, said Wan Biao，chief operating officer of Huawei consumer business group.

The computers, with starting price of 4,988 yuan (US$723), feature fashion designs, super mobility, high definition screen and long working hours of at least 10 hours.
