Qihoo 360 offers search in English

QIHOO 360 yesterday announced the launch of a new English online search service in China in cooperation with Microsoft’s Bing as it offers an alternative to Google’s service, which is unavailable in the Chinese mainland.

The 360 English Search widens the limited English search services for Chinese netizens, following those provided by Baidu and Sohu-invested Sogou.

Qihoo 360’s English search engine will automatically identify and convert Chinese Pinyin or Chinese characters to English search results.

The English search service features real-time translation which will help Internet users in China‚ said Qihoo 360, the country’s biggest online security firm with more than 400 million users.

Qihoo 360 is also preparing for an initial public offering in the domestic market after it delisted from the New York Stock Exchange last year.
