Dollar moves in narrow range against yen ahead of ECB meeting

The U.S. dollar was range bound against the yen and the euro on Thursday, as investors refrained from making bold moves ahead of the outcome of the European Central Bank's policy meeting later in the day.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 108.05-06 yen compared with 108.12-22 yen in New York, and 108.03-05 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.
During the day, it moved between 108.05 yen and 108.24 yen and was traded most frequently at the 108.17 yen mark.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1126-1129 dollars and 120.23-27 yen against 1.1135-1145 dollars and 120.46-56 yen in New York, and 1.1138-1140 dollars and 120.33-37 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
