FDI in Morocco down 46.8 pct in 2019

The foreign direct investment in Morocco declined by 46.8 percent year on year to 1.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2019, the foreign exchange regulator said in a report on Thursday.

Remittances from Moroccans living abroad amounted 6.75 billion dollars during the same period.

According to the statistics, imports amounted to 51.2 billion dollars, up 2 percent, while exports rose by 2.4 percent to 29.4 dollars.
