Europe's largest budget airline Ryanair said on Wednesday that 93 percent of its flights in October arrived on time.
The figure represented a three-percentage-point improvement over the same month of last year, said the airline, adding that it operated a total of 76,000 flights in October.
The punctuality figure did not include the delays caused by ATC (air traffic control) staff shortages and disruptions, said the airline,
"ATC staff shortages and disruptions are still having a significant impact, delaying 15 percent of flights, with Germany, France and Spain as the worst ATC providers last month," said Ryanair in a statement on its website.
"Despite this, our punctuality is up both month-on-month and year-on-year," said Kenny Jacobs, Chief Marketing Officer of Ryanair.
According to Jacobs, Ryanair handled a total of 13.8 million passengers in October, up 5 percent over a year ago and the occupancy rate of the Ryanair flights in October stood at 96 percent.
