CHINA’S crude imports accelerated over the first two months amid stable global oil prices and high exploitation costs, the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday.
The country’s imports rose 12.5 percent from a year earlier to 65.78 million tons in January and February while China’s crude output fell 8 percent year on year to 31.4 million tons, according to the bureau. In the first two months, natural gas output totaled 25.2 billion cubic meters, unchanged from the same period of last year. Imports of natural gas grew 7.5 percent.
