Amazon to export 'Made in India' goods worth 10 bln USD by 2025

One of the world's largest e-commerce giants, Amazon will use its global footprint to export "Made in India" goods worth ten billion U.S. dollars by 2025, said the company's Founder and Chief Executive Jeff Bezos on Wednesday in New Delhi.
Bezos, who is on a three-day visit to India, also stated that Amazon would be investing one billion U.S. dollars in the next five years for digitising the small and medium businesses in India in order to achieve this target.
The company aims to digitize around ten million Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which would help the Indian businesses grow by selling online worldwide.
As part of this effort, Amazon has announced 100 Digital Haats in cities and villages throughout India.
During his ongoing visit, Bezos is expected to meet important lawmakers including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
