Dollar increases to 112 yen, hitting 2.5-month high

The U.S. dollar topped 112 yen zone briefly on Monday, the highest recorded in two and half months, as market players continued to play bold.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 111.90-91 yen compared with 111.87-97 yen in New York and 111.81-82 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. on Friday. It moved between 111.76 yen and 112.01 yen during the day.
The euro fetched 1.1357-1358 dollars and 127.09-13 yen against 1.1363-1373 dollars and 127.15-25 yen in New York and 1.1372-1373 dollars and 127.15-19 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
