China's crude oil output edges up in November

China's crude oil production rose 0.9 percent year on year to 15.7 million tonnes in November, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The growth rate was up 0.9 percentage points from the previous month, while the country's daily average output of crude oil increased 3,000 tonnes to 523,000 tonnes.

In the first 11 months of the year, China's crude oil output totaled 174.95 million tonnes, up 1 percent from the previous year, the NBS data showed.

Imports of crude oil rose 6.7 percent year on year to 45.74 million tonnes in November, while during the January-November period the imports totaled 461.88 million tonnes, a 10.5-percent increase from a year ago.

International oil prices increased during the period, with the benchmark Brent crude selling for 64.5 U.S. dollars per barrel on Nov. 29, up 5.2 dollars from Oct. 31.
