Audi reports strong sales in China in January-July

German luxury carmaker Audi's sales in China during the first seven months of this year have hit a record high, according to Audi China.

Audi sold a total of 359,781 vehicles in the Chinese market between January and July, up by 17.6 percent from the same period last year, while the sales of the new Audi A4L accounting for about a quarter of total sales, up by 59.1 percent year on year.

The carmaker sold 53,191 vehicles in China in July, up by 3.8 percent year on year.
