India gets 58.37 billion USD as FDIs in April-November 2020

India received a total of 58.37 billion U.S. dollars in terms of Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) during April-November 2020, which was 22 percent higher as compared to the FDIs in the first eight months of the previous financial year, said an official statement on Wednesday.

India's financial year begins in April every year and ends in March of the following year.

"It is the highest ever for first 8 months of a financial year," said the statement issued by the federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The country had received FDIs to the tune of 47.67 billion U.S. dollars during April-November 2019.

According to the statement, the measures taken by the federal government on the fronts of FDI policy reforms, investment facilitation and ease of doing business have resulted in increased FDI inflows into the country.

It has been the endeavor of the federal government to put in place an enabling and investor-friendly FDI policy.
