Dollar slips to upper 105 yen zone as market remains cautious amid trade issues

The U.S. dollar edged down into the upper 105 yen zone in Tokyo on Tuesday, amid investor consternation over current trade issues that led to increased volatility between the dollar-yen pairing a day earlier.
The dollar was quoted at 105.73-75 yen at 5 p.m., compared with 106.07-17 yen in New York and 105.73-75 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.
During the day, it tracked between 105.60 yen and 106.15 yen, trading most often at the 105.84 yen mark.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1109-1110 dollars and 117.46-50 yen against 1.1094-1104 dollars and 117.74-84 yen in New York, and 1.1120-1124 dollars and 117.58-62 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
