CITIC Securities posts surging net profits in June

CITIC Securities, one of China's leading brokerage firms, reported rising net profits in June.

Net profits for the company increased by 38.86 percent year on year to 947 million yuan (about 135 million U.S. dollars) last month, according to a statement the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Operating revenue stood at 2.5 billion yuan in June, up 25.08 percent from a year ago, the statement shows.
