TDK-Lambda to open China headquarters in Jiangsu

TDK-Lambda, a subsidiary of Japanese electronics giant TDK Group, plans to build its China headquarters in the city of Wuxi in east China's Jiangsu Province, local authorities said Monday.
The project will include a 15,200 square meter plant in Wuxi's high-tech zone, with a total investment of 500 million yuan (about 74.6 million U.S. dollars), the city government said.
Engaging in product design and manufacturing of industrial power products, the China headquarters will be put into operation by the end of 2019, with expected annual sales reaching 1 billion yuan, according to the company.
Digital management equipment such as intelligent robots and automated warehouses will be introduced to the new plant, making it one of the most advanced factories in the TDK Group, said Hiroyuki Yashiro, president of TDK-Lambda.
"As a leading company in industrial power field, TDK-Lambda's connection with Wuxi will further optimize the industrial structure of the city. Wuxi will provide strong support for the completion of the project," said Huang Qin, mayor of the city.
