angladesh inflation up in October on food prices

Bangladesh's overall inflation rose to 6.44 percent in October, due mainly to soaring food prices, according to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
The country's average inflation rate went up from September's 5.97 percent.
The BBS data showed the country's food inflation in October increased to 7.34 percent from 6.50 percent in September.
For the non-food items, the inflation rate decreased to 5 percent in October from 5.12 percent in September.
The Bangladeshi government aims to keep average inflation limited to 5.4 percent in the current fiscal year 2020-21 fiscal ending in next June.
