Guotai Junan Securities sees rising profits in June

Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese securities firm, reported rising net profits in June.

The unaudited net profits for the parent company grew 39 percent year on year to 1.06 billion yuan (about 152 million U.S. dollars) in June, according to a statement the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Its operating revenue came in at around 2.36 billion yuan last month, up 3.4 percent from last year, the statement showed.

The shares of the company shed 2.69 percent to end at 20.62 yuan apiece Friday.
