China Life Insurance reports premium income growth

China Life Insurance Co., one of the country's biggest insurers, posted original premium income growth last month.
Its premium income totaled 218.9 billion yuan (about 33.9 billion U.S. dollars) in January this year, the insurer said in a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The reading was up 13.13 percent from the same period last year, the statement said.
