Malaysia's producer price index (PPI) fell 3.9 percent in September year on year, declined for seven months since March, official data showed Wednesday.
Malaysian Statistics Department said in a statement that the decrease in the overall index was attributed by the decline in mining (-43.2 percent), manufacturing (-1.3 percent), as well as electricity and gas supply (-0.9 percent).
Conversely, the index of agriculture, forestry and fishing, as well as water supply rose 19.3 percent and 1 percent respectively.
