China's small and micro-sized businesses reported stronger demand for loans in the third quarter of this year, a central bank survey showed Friday.
The borrowing demand index for these businesses stood at 67.1 in Q3, up from 64.5 in Q2, according to a People's Bank of China (PBOC) survey of bankers.
Overall loan demand index for all types of businesses fell to 65.2 in Q3 from 66.7 in Q2.
Another PBOC survey showed the entrepreneur confidence index in Q3 was 71.1, down from 75.8 in Q2 but still higher than 68.7 a year earlier.
