Israeli defense company says to set up training center for Greek air force

Israeli defense electronics company Elbit Systems will establish and operate an international flight training center of the Greek air force, in a 1.68-billion-U.S. dollar deal, the Israeli company said on Tuesday.

This is included in a 20-year agreement between the Israeli and the Hellenic defense ministries, after Elbit was selected for the Hellenic Air Force's program.

As part of the agreement, Elbit will deliver training aircraft fleets equipped with the company's avionics and embedded training solutions, supply its flight simulators and training aids, and provide through-life logistical support.

Elbit Systems, founded in 1966 and based in the city of Haifa, develops and supplies airborne, land and naval systems and products for defense, homeland security and commercial applications.
