Bremen, a city in northwestern Germany, promoted its tourist attractions at the World Expo yesterday.

The Bremen Pavilion at Expo's Urban Best Practices Area showcases urban mobility solutions and climate change research.

Bremen is a city inspired by Grimm Brothers' fairy tale, said Heiner Heseler, Bremen's economic and harbor minister. The city's symbol is a bronze sculpture by Gerhard Marcks, called "Die Stadtmusikanten" (Town Musicians). It portrays the donkey, dog, cat and rooster, all characters in Grimm Brothers' fairy tale.

Bremen also boasts cutting-edge science and technologies and visitors can find the most advanced assembly lines of Mercedes-Benz, Heseler said.

The city attracts more than 2,000 Chinese tourists each year.
