Visitors to the South Africa Pavilion will experience the glamor of the "rainbow nation" through an exhibition on the country's tourism, cultural diversity, cuisine and wine.
South Africa is dubbed the "rainbow nation" as it reflects the unity of diverse races and cultures. The country is known for its abundant sunshine, natural parks and unspoiled coastlines.
The pavilion has picked "Tourism and Heritage" as the theme of exhibition for September.
Also on display are South Africa's efforts in ecological preservation, sustainable development of tourism, and job creation.
In 2009, South Africa received nearly 50,000 Chinese tourists and the number is expected to rise this year.
Both countries will strengthen cooperation in tourism-related industries such as airlines, travel services, and hotels, according to the "comprehensive strategic partnership" forged during South African President Jacob Zuma's first state visit to China in August.
