The ongoing Shanghai World Expo has been a large platform for all walks of life to conduct investment solicitation, and participating countries and international organizations as well as domestic provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions successively hold investment solicitation and negotiation activities on the National Pavilion Day, anniversary and activity week with the Expo investment solicitation confirmed the focus of Shanghai foreign investment in the latter half of the year.

It was known from the recently-held press conference on the feature for the Shanghai World Expo (Issue 1) on the White Book on Foreign Investment Environment of Shanghai 2010 that Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce has selected outstanding officers to set up special institution and working team for the Expo investment solicitation in a bid to seize the rare opportunity that the World Expo is held in Shanghai to bring the enthusiasm of districts, counties and related departments of Shanghai into play to spare no effort to promote Shanghai utilizing foreign investment; and make full use of the Expo to provide services for all parts across China and countries from across the world in investment solicitation in Shanghai.
