If losing passport on China tour, please report the loss immediately to local police authorities and your country's embassy or consulate. Your local guide will assist you in this matter.

Be sure to write your current address in the space provided in your passport so that, if it is found, it can be returned to you.

It is good not to take your passport with you. Leave it in the hotel safe. Make a copy of your passport photo page and keep it with you. This also makes it easier to obtain a new passport if yours is lost.
