China is very rich in mirabilite resource with total Na2SO4 reserves 10.5 billion tons which ranks first in the world. The proved reserves mineral fields’ amount is more than 100 and distributed in 13 provinces (areas), Qinghai has the most reserves and occupied about 40% of total reserves, Sichuan is the second and occupied about 30%; Yunnan, Nei Menggu has production of mirabilite. The most important feature of China mirabilite mine is good quality and large scale mineral deposit. The deposit types are modern inland brine lake (such as Qinghai Chaerhan Brine Lake, Xinjiang Qi Jiaojing Brine Lake, etc), mirabilite deposit and ancient inland brine lake (such as Yunnan Lu Quan Nitre well mineral field) deposit. The mineragenetic epoch of mirabilite mine is Mesozoic Era and Cainozoic Era.
